It is finally time for the first harvest of some of the Lavender flowers. We took about 2/3 of the flowers from the one row, cutting the stalks down to the "woody" part of the plant. We then spread them out, some on clean sheets and others on a wire box rack, wanting to see which method worked best. They are drying in our little outdoor work shed, and it smells really nice in there. It takes a lot of flowers to make a pound of Lavender buds.
